I’m honored to be able to contribute to filming and support Ron, our incredible cast and crew, as the lead military advisor. And truly believe the movie will take its place in the pantheon of greatest military films.
If you are unfamiliar with Combat Control (more commonly known as CCT), as most people are, they are the most lethal, versatile, and smallest special operations force in the world. But here in the US, in America’s longest ever war, they earned 58% of the Silver Stars, 73% of the Air Force Crosses, and 100% of the USAF’s Medals of Honor, while comprising only 0.1% of its force. That’s the correct number: 0.1%. It’s a staggering disproportion and testament to their prowess.

His journey will deeply affect you.
About Dan
I love stories and their telling, especially through books. Making books (because to create one is more than simply putting words to paper) is a rewarding and collaborative, if arduous, adventure. I’ve found that it’s never not worth the uncertainty, self-doubt all writers experience, and inevitable obstacles. To create is a positive activity.
My site is primarily about books. However, in the process of creation it became a repository for other projects. So have a browse and I hope you find something of value in addition to a good book.

Alone at Dawn
**SOON TO BE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE**
In the predawn hours of March 4, 2002, just below the 10,000-foot peak of a mountain in eastern Afghanistan, a fierce battle raged. Outnumbered by Al Qaeda fighters, Air Force Combat Controller John Chapman and a handful of SEALs struggled to take the summit in a desperate bid to find a lost teammate. Chapman, leading the charge, was gravely wounded in the initial assault. Believing he was dead, his SEAL leader ordered a retreat. Chapman regained consciousness, finding himself alone with the enemy who was closing in on three sides. Thus began the most difficult and exceptional fight of his life.
